Soul Shop™ for Indigenous Communities is a one-day workshop that provides faith leaders and the community with the tools for caring for those who have been affected by suicide and desperation. This workshop was created and developed by faith leaders and experts in suicide and desperation to ensure culturally competent information to meet the needs of the Indigenous communities around the country

Training for Indigenous Faith Commuity Leaders

Audience: Indigenous Faith Leaders and community leaders who are involved with the church.

Time Commitment: 1 day

Workshop Overview:
Soul Shop for Indigenous Churches is a one-day workshop designed to equip Indigenous leaders, priests, clergy, lay leaders, and others who work with in and around the indigenous community to effectively minister to those impacted by suicide and desperation. The workshop will place special emphasis on practical tools and cultural component understanding to the uniqueness of the community

Participants will engage in creating worship resources, receiving training in suicide awareness and basic conversation skills, and learning how to extend invitations to individuals who have experienced suicidal thoughts to share their stories. The workshop will also address how to cultivate a soul-safe culture within the indigenous church and community.
