Dante Jennings
Master Trainer
Dante Jennings serves as the Manager of Co-Occurring Service Integration for Genesee Health Systems, where he plays a critical role in strengthening systems of care for individuals and families facing complex behavioral health challenges. In this position, he oversees initiatives designed to improve coordination between mental health and substance use disorder services, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive, person-centered, and culturally responsive support. His work includes program development, staff training, policy implementation, and collaboration with partner agencies across the region.
Dante earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Ferris State University, where he first developed a passion for serving vulnerable populations and advocating for equitable access to high-quality care. He later completed his Master of Public Administration at the University of Phoenix, furthering his expertise in organizational leadership, public policy, and community-based systems of support.
With over a decade of experience, Dante has dedicated his career to working with youth and families experiencing co-occurring disorders, mental health conditions, substance use challenges, and suicidal ideation. His direct service background provides him with a deep understanding of the barriers individuals face when navigating the behavioral health system. Transitioning into administrative leadership, he has helped develop and refine policies and procedures that enhance service delivery and ensure that youth and families across Michigan receive the resources, interventions, and compassionate support they need.
Dante's commitment to service extends beyond his professional role. He is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Iota Beta Sigma Chapter, where he actively contributes to community uplift, mentorship, and civic engagement. He also serves on multiple boards and committees statewide, lending his expertise to initiatives focused on mental health advocacy, youth development, and community wellness.
At the heart of Dante’s work is the unwavering support of his wife, Sharonda Chemere Jennings, whom he affectionately credits as one of his greatest inspirations. When he is not leading programs or volunteering in the community, Dante enjoys traveling, exploring new experiences, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Driven by compassion, informed by experience, and rooted in service, Dante continues to be a dedicated advocate for individuals and families navigating the intersection of mental health and substance use disorders across the State of Michigan.
