Jennifer Daniels, LSW, has called Mesa County Colorado home for the past 27 years and is deeply committed to strengthening suicide prevention efforts across her community and beyond. She currently coordinates the Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Colorado-National Collaborative for Mesa County, working alongside community partners to advance suicide prevention initiatives, build community capacity, and promote hope and connection.
Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in Human Biology and a Master of Social Work. She brings more than 13 years of experience in suicide prevention, crisis intervention, and postvention, as well as direct clinical experience as a Licensed Social Worker. Since 2012, she has served as a Victim Advocate with the Grand Junction Police Department, specializing in suicide loss response and providing compassionate support to individuals and families impacted by traumatic loss.
Jennifer is a Master Trainer in LivingWorks ASIST and a certified instructor in several nationally recognized mental health and suicide prevention programs, including Mental Health First Aid(Youth and Adult), QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), NAMI Ending the Silence, and Soul Shop. She is passionate about equipping faith communities, organizations, and individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognize emotional pain, foster meaningful conversations, and support those at risk. Jennifer believes that every person has the capacity to offer hope and that connected, compassionate communities save lives.
In Jennifer’s spare time you will find her in the sun, near water, sleeping, hanging out with her 3 adult daughters or making retirement plans with her husband of 31 years.
