FACILITATED PLANNING FOR CROSS-DISCIPLINARY TEAMS

This is a one-day process through which leaders develop a suicide prevention plan for their community. The leaders represent key stakeholders including mental health agencies, educational institutions, faith communities, first responders, political offices, and local businesses.
The suicide prevention plan developed by the end of the day specifies
- A vision for reducing suicides and suicide attempts
- Identification of critical success factors for realizing the vision
- Development of key strategic initiatives that are most promising for reducing suicide
- Identification of resources for education, training, and consultation needed to support the plan
